Long time ago there was a fish village on the bank of the Pregolya River in the centre of Kenigsberg. It was famous all over in Europe for its fish market. It was a successful place for merchants, it was quiet for filibusters and it was impetuous for fishermen and commoners. Later Kant and Suvorov, Eiler and Rastrelly, Peter-the-First and Wilgelm-the-Second, Munhausen and many other historical people walked in this place.

Project Financial Company decided to recreate the fish village which consisted of a complex of different buildings. It’s proposed to realize the whole spectrum of modern business services. It’s going to be everything for a businessman and a scientist, a seller and a tourist, an yachtsman and just a common person, who felt like to relax for several days: representatives of Russian and European banks, the biggest companies trading with Europe and Asia; congress-halls for meetings of business, scientific and industrial High-Tech elite; tourist centre, international quay for yachts and many other things that will help them to organize their own business, to realize their cultural and intellectual needs. The ethnographic content reflecting a rich centuries-old history of the region will be an attractive peculiarity of high-class complex of services.

According to the architects idea "Fish Village" will consist of 20 buildings, joint in 3 blocks. Architectonical and stylistic it’s constructed as a consistent "illustration in stone" of historical styles of Kenigsberg-Kaliningrad: architectural stylistic of Order period, Gothic, Classicism, Baroque, Modernism. Thus the realization of the project "Creation of Ethnographic, Handicraft and Trade Centre "Fish Village" will allow to begin the system forming of a classical image of Kaliningrad, to change its look and it will be a kind of visit card of the city.

One of the project objects is a pedestrian and draw bridge across the River Pregolya. It has already become real and a contribution of Project Financial Company in solving of social city problems by connecting a school, microdistrict and a business part of the city. The realization of the whole project will allow to improve tourist industry in the region to a new quality level, it will give a start for small and average business development, it will help to enlarge the international collaboration.

The project is ambitious and is a sample of private and state partnership and real realization of the requirements of the RF President V.V.Putin in the necessity of big target setting and its solution.
