The pedestrian drawbridge across the Pregolya River was built by 750 anniversary of Kaliningrad.
That’s why it was named “Ubileyny” The length of the bridge is 100 meters.
It’s the only pedestrian drawbridge of such length in Russia.
The main task of the construction of this bridge is that it has connected the island "Oktyabrsky"
and the district between Leninsky prospect and Krasnooktyabrskaya Street.
This architectural and construction solution gives not only additional aesthetic
attractiveness to the project but ,also, gives the social effect from the realization of the project
because before because of lack of the bridge the citizens of the nearby district were almost cut
off the rest part of the city. Financing of the bridge was from different levels of the budget:
federal, municipal and “Project financial company” Ltd.
